Happy Canada Day Pussycats!

Cheers to Canada being 140
years old today!
Sounds like a fantastic reason to have a
drink and lounge on a patio for a couple of hours!

Me??!...I am celebrating Canada Day
by moving into my new studio!!!!
Yippee!!! and Hurray!!!!
Very exciting!
Finally.
Will post pics of the new space as we
go along and get things set up.

Today I wanted to share some more pics
from magazines that I took while in Czech.

I really like these 2 dressses.
The yellow is so great b/c of the colour alone but I also like
the 60's cut and the covered buttons.
I seem to have found a renewed
loved for covered buttons.
The grey babydoll hangs so nice
and I love how full it is.
Not so jazzed about grey..but that is just me.

Ah capes.... so lovely and so under
appreciated in North America.
I think they are smashing and should
offer a few this fall on my web page.

I really like this jacket...the
embroidery and the snug cut makes this jacket.

As a rule I am not into brown and yellow
but i was struck by this sweater.
I like the green tee under it...

You know me...I am not into too
much structure but this jacket I like.
It would be better in yellow or red...
but I don't work at Deisel.
( not yet...ha ha!)
AND- a mere bargain at $680.00
12, 960 kc sounds more expensive.

This pic speaks for itself...
there a thousand things wrong with
this but i loved it anyhow.

So, ta ta for now Pussycats!
Have a great Canada Day!
Will let you know how the
moving goes!
Luv Weezi xo

When we were in Prague

Happy Long Weekend Pussycats!

When we were in Prague I spent more then a few
hours entertaining myself by combing
thru Czech fashion magazines.
I have always had a fascination with fashion mags
from other countries (especially Italy!).

Anyhow...the day we were renting the car to
go to Brussels I took a bunch of pictures
of pages I liked in the mags there.
(It's hard to see detial in the photos I know.
If you click on them
you can see them a wee bit better.)

This spread was all about long tees
and/or dresses over pants.
One of my favourite things!

I really like the red wedgie shoes here!

I thought this dress was great and
I even don't mind the leg warmers.

I don't like the denim here for this dress
but I do like the dress itself very much.

This page I was really fond of...

Rajska Zahrada...is "Heaven Garden"
or "Garden of Eden"..loosely translated.

The dress on the far left is fantastic!
Pretty floral always rox my world..
i can't help it.
I think secretly I am a fan of Laura Ashley.

Have a great Saturday Pussycats!
Luv Weezi xo

PS!- don't forget your sunscreen .
Hiddy Ho Pussycats!
I have been working on one of my
favourite Weezi patterns called
the Swat dress.

(Note: a long time ago when I was wholesaling
I did a spring season catalogue where I named each
piece after a 70's song. There was a Burn Baby Burn Dress....
there was a Jive Talkin' Jacket.
Good times! I thought it was catchy....
some might beg to differ.
Anyhow, long story long... this was the first showing
for the SWAT dress...from the TV show
S.W.A.T...the theme song....never mind!)
(Astrid remember that???)

Anyhow..bad name but the pussycats love the dress.
(thank you!)

So..I am doing more..

I am going to add some kind of red "ruffle"
or gathering to hem.
It doesn't look finished to me.

I love this fabric!

I need to add the gathering at the bottom
to "50's" it up a bit.
I ALWAYS over-do everything
I know...but it looks plain to me.

This is a new Weezi skirt
called the Harriet Skirt.

There will lots of these in different colour ways...

I will put 3 buttons on each side.
But I think they need to be a bit bigger.

Well, that is the progress report for today.
Stay tuned!...more to come.
Thanx for checkin' in...
luv Weezi xo

Grab your shiny silver spacesuits Pussycats

Grab your shiny silver spacesuits Pussycats
and set your taser's to fabulous!
This collection is gonna leave you "stunned".
(Ok, sorry..i can't help myself sometimes!)

Enjoy this collectio from

Born into a family of artists (her Egyptian-Italian father is a painter
and sculptor and her English mother is a textile artist).
Dena grew up surrounded by culture, colour
and the affirmation that freedom lives in expression.
During the past ten years she has demonstrated
a chameleon-like talent for self-reinvention,
from polished old school sports wear designer to costume and casual couture.
Professionally she has worked in costume design
for the Australian opera Company, and for theatre,
television and film productions.
Her personal style reflects the inimitable and
intoxicating mix and the Dena Pezzano label, established in 2003,
was originally about making only one-off customized pieces.
Dena Pezzano began with a desire to reinvent clothing
that might otherwise be regarded as unremarkable,
into something wearable and original.
Starting her label off at the markets, it constantly grows and evolves.

This collection I am showing you is called....
Ray Gun Winter '07
I am so impressed with how original
her designs are.
There is no cookie-cutter "mall" fashion here!

Pretty and feminine.

Finding this collection made my day!

Have great Monday pussycats!

Hiddy Ho Pussycats!
When we were in Prague we went to a small brewery
to have lunch and sample their home brew.
I ordered french onion soup and this is how it came....

Cheese croutons and cubed ham.
It was great (sans ham of course).
Milos had the same.

At the same pub we saw this man and his little friend...
I love how animal friendly it is in Prague.
You can take your dog just about anywhere...
even to have a beer at your favourite watering-hole!

This place i found near the train station.
yes, you can get fabulous fried cheese on a bun
or some potato pancakes. Yumm!!

Beer 32kc or $1.60

Yes, i said $1.60.
Sign me up!

I saw this gal with these interesting leopard pants..
She was Russian
OOOH!!! those Russians (think Boney M)

Caio Pussycats!! xoxox
Yes it is true!!!...finally a new Weezi Store
Hiddy Ho Puussycats!
I am back from my adventures in the Czech Republic
and I have great news!

By mid to the end of July there WILL
indeed be a new Weezi store.
After all this time and waiting I
finally able to set up shop again.
I am very excited!!!!
It will be here in London above Prince Albert's Diner.

I am extending my studio into the bachelor apt. beside me
and will have enough room to put up
my racks and sell Weezi clothes and bags.

I will be able to open around mid July once i get everything set up.

So, this puts a whole new spin on EVERYTHING!

I am going to start with bags, purses and skirts.
Get open, get the "party" started and
then move on to dresses, tees and hoodies from there.
I will be sending out emails and posts regularly to
keep everyone updated....get some feedback
on my thoughts and ideas as I get
ready to open.

I am always looking for inspirations and ideas.
Please send along any ideas, pics and sites of things you like.

This was the old Weezi store if you remember...

And- now we are moving on to better things!!!!

Had a great time in the Czech Republic.
Took a lot of "street fashion" photos
that I will share with you over the next few weeks.

Drank WAY too much beer, ate WAY too much cheese!
It sucks to come back to reality BUT it
is nice to come back to a reality that
includes a Weezi store!! :)
