I was a crochet machine over the weekend and made

up a bunch of cute change purse/cell phone covers.

I love to crochet .

I wish that people would stop thinking of weird bathroom accessories
when they think of crochet...

( this is a WHOLE other topic of conversation for another day!)

I would like everyone to think of crochet as bright, fun and interesting.

So, I will start with these cute little guys.

Not rocket science I know...but they are cheap and cheerful not to metnion useful.

There are tons of these in the studio now and soon to be online.

I had to show you these gorgeous Jellyfish Marbles

by West Coast Glass on Etsy.

They look real but they are not real jellyfish...

An handcrafted flameworked borosilicate glass marble.
This jellyfish appears to have a flow and movement of the real thing!
The "hood" or top is a gorgeous blue with just a hint of yellow
and the long red tentacles delicately dangle in the clear glass.

Stunning!

I have made some neck warmers this week.

Once again...not the best photo but it gives an idea.

I will take pics of them on real people this weekend.

I fought this idea for a long time but after some debate

I am forced to eat my words.

New Pixie Jacket

I finally finished another girly fleece jacket for the fall.

This one is called the Pixie.

I started the pattern on Friday night.

The first idea wasn't quite like this...

This was my first idea....

But then, I was sure about sewing in that curved yoke in fleece.

Could induce a lot of swearing and I already swear too much.

Here is a little bit of the process...

My patterns are always a mess and purists would faint at the sight of masking tape

as I fit pieces together.

I however, am not a purist.

Always blend your curves...always.

Side seams that match make for happy sewing....I was

going to have a pleat in the back...but it didn't look right.

Yes, even 1cm can make a big difference in how you sleeve sets in.

Learned that the hard way MANY times.

The final fitting front and back.

As usual, it took longer then I wanted...story of my life.

Tah Dah!!!!!! The finished jacket.

I did 5 sizes in this green.

I will make 3 red over the weekend.
